Classic dashboards

Understand the older Dashboards page most accounts see today — an embedded dashboard Incenti sets up for you, a switcher for accounts with more than one, and how to ask for the newer Dashboards 2.0 experience.

Before you start

Dashboards appears in the sidebar when your account's plan includes the Dashboards module. Without it, there's no Dashboards entry at all and the page can't be opened directly.
Two different experiences are served at that one sidebar entry. This page describes the classic one, which is what most accounts see. The newer Dashboards 2.0 experience — where you build and edit your own charts — is turned on per account by Incenti and is off by default.
Not sure which you have? If the page opens a single dashboard with a Select a dashboard... box at the top and no New dashboard button, you're on the classic experience.

What the classic Dashboards page shows

Classic dashboards are built for your account by Incenti and embedded into the portal. You read and interact with the dashboard itself — filtering, hovering, sorting inside the embedded view — but you don't add, edit, or remove its charts from Incenti, and there's no chart builder, filter bar, drill-down dialog, or AI chat on the page.

Opening Dashboards takes you straight to a dashboard rather than to a list: if your account has any, the first one opens automatically. While the embedded view loads you'll see a spinner and "Loading dashboard...".

Switch between dashboards

When your account has more than one dashboard, the Select a dashboard... box at the top left lists them all. Start typing to search; if nothing matches what you typed, it reads "No dashboards found." Pick one and the page loads it in place.

Accounts with a single dashboard still see the box, already showing that dashboard's name.

States you may run into

"No dashboards" with "There are no dashboards available for your account." — your account has the Dashboards module, but no dashboard has been set up for it yet. Contact support to have one built.
"Dashboard viewer for this provider is not yet implemented." — the dashboard exists but is hosted somewhere the portal can't embed yet. You see its title and description instead of the dashboard. Contact support.
A page-not-found error on /dashboards — your account's plan doesn't include the Dashboards module.
An error message where the dashboard should be — the embedded view couldn't load, usually a temporary problem. Reload the page, and contact support if it keeps happening.

Moving to Dashboards 2.0

Dashboards 2.0 replaces the embedded dashboard with dashboards you own: you start one from a template or by describing it to an assistant, add and arrange charts yourself, filter the whole dashboard at once, and click any chart to see the records behind it.

It's enabled per account by Incenti — there's no setting for it in the portal, not even for account admins. Contact support to ask for it on your account. Once it's on, Dashboards opens a list of your own dashboards with a New dashboard button, and the pages below apply:

Switching to Dashboards 2.0 doesn't delete your classic dashboards — the portal simply stops showing them at /dashboards. Ask support if you need one of them back.

Common questions

Q: Why is my Dashboards page a single embedded dashboard with no New dashboard button? A: You're on the classic Dashboards experience, which shows a dashboard Incenti built for your account rather than dashboards you create. The newer Dashboards 2.0 experience is enabled per account — contact support to ask for it.

Q: Can I add a chart or change a filter on a classic dashboard? A: Not from Incenti. The dashboard's charts are defined outside the portal, so changes go through support. Whatever controls the embedded dashboard itself offers (its own filters, sorting, and hover details) still work.

Q: My Dashboards page says "No dashboards". What now? A: Your account has the Dashboards module but no dashboard has been connected to it. Contact support and describe what you'd like to see, or ask about Dashboards 2.0 so you can build your own.

Q: It says "Dashboard viewer for this provider is not yet implemented" — is something broken? A: The dashboard is linked to your account, but it's hosted on a platform the portal can't embed yet, so only its title and description are shown. Contact support.

Q: Who can turn on Dashboards 2.0 — can our account admin do it? A: No. It's switched on per account by Incenti, so contact support. Once it's on, every user in the account gets the new experience at the same time.
